WASHINGTON D.C. - Sen. Craig has been facing monumental levels of hostility and criticism stemming from his arrest in early June for reportedly sending cryptic messages to a police officer in a neighboring stall. These cryptic messages supposedly are a known method for soliciting and requesting a sexual encounter. The audiotape of his interview with police and his plea to a misdemeanor charge has been quite damning and could cost Craig his job in the Senate.
